Jennifer L. Castro Jennifer is a graduate of Mary Washington College with a BA in Historic Preservation and a BA in Art History. After graduation Jennifer worked as an interpreter for the Capital Children's Museum, Washington, DC, then for the Office of Museum Programs at the Smithsonian Institution. In 1987, she joined the Museums Branch of the Marine Corps History and Museums Division and currently serves as the Collections Manager for the Museums Branch. In addition to her duties as artifact collections manager, she has been involved with the development of a collections management plan for the Marine Corps as well as one for the Department of the Navy. She has been heavily involved in the recovery of historic property from the September 11, 2001 terrorist attack on the Pentagon with a more recent focus on coordinating collections efforts and documenting Marine Corps operations in Afghanistan and Operation Enduring Freedom. Jennifer is also a steering committee member of the Interagency Federal Collections Alliance. LINKS |
