Lisa Kronthal
Lisa Kronthal is the Conservator of Natural Sciences Collections at the American Museum of Natural History
in New York City and has held this post since September 2001. Her focus in this position in on preventive
conservation as it applies to scientific collections; specifically, risk assessment, disaster planning, preparation
and education. Before this she worked in the Anthropology Department at the AMNH investigating and treating
the archaeological and ethnographic collections holdings within that department for exhibition or loan. She obtained
an M.A. in conservation from the State University College at Buffalo, Art Conservation Department and a B.A. from the
University of Rochester.
